Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the validity of the Multiplication Stick Box Media in Improving Students' Understanding; 2) stating the Practicality of Media Multiplication Stick Box in Improving Student Understanding; 3) determine the effectiveness of the Media Multiplication Stick Box in increasing students' understanding of the Playing Theme in My Environment. The location of this research is SD Negeri Bonmuti Amfoang Tengah, Kupang Regency. This research is a development research with 4-D model. The population in this study was the second grade students of SD Negeri Bonmuti Amfoang Tengah, Kupang Regency, amounting to 32 students. The sample in this development research was conducted on second grade students of SD Negeri Bonmuti Amfoang Tengah, Kupang Regency with the number of subjects studied were 15 students, which was carried out by porposive sampling. The data collection instruments in this study consisted of validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires and test sheets. In this multiplication media development research using three data analysis techniques including; data analysis techniques for validity, data analysis techniques for practicality, and data analysis techniques for the effectiveness of multiplication stick box media. The results of the study for validity showed that; 1) The average score of the syllabus is 4.07; RPP 4.1; material 4.12; LKPD 4.04. Quality seen from the aspect of validity is included in the very valid criteria, while the Multiplication Stick Box 3.99 media is declared valid based on the assessment of two validators; (2) the quality of the Multiplication Stick Box media in terms of practicality is included in the very practical category with an average score of 4.41 based on student responses, while the average score based on teacher responses is 4.75. For the effectiveness of getting a completeness score of 80%. Thus, all learning devices are suitable for use in the learning process.
