Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and practicality of children's comic story media based on critical thinking for fourth grade students. This research was conducted at SD GMIT Putain 1, North Amanatun District from May to June 2021. The research design used was 4D Research and Development which was modified into 3D. The technique used to determine the feasibility and practicality of children's story comics media is carried out using: (a) Validation sheet for children's story comics media, (b) RPP validation sheet, (c) Syllabus validation sheet, (d) educator response sheet for comic media. children's stories, (e) student response sheets to children's story comics media. The population in this study were all fourth grade students of SD GMIT Putain 1, North Amanatun District, for the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 25 people, with a sample of 10 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The results showed that the children's story comic media had met the eligibility and practicality criteria. The results of the validation of children's story comics media carried out by validator I and validator II, namely RPP = 4.55, syllabus = 4.50 and children's story comic media = 4.62 were declared very good. The results obtained based on the validation of the device and learning media met the validity without revision. While the results of the practicality of children's story comics media based on the responses of educators and students are 88% educators and 91% students. Therefore, the development of children's comic story media based on critical thinking is said to be feasible and meets the criteria of practicality and can be used in the learning process.
