Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the LKS-based role playing learning model to improve student learning outcomes in sub-theme 1 (temperature and heat) for class V SD Inpres Rumang. The research design uses One Group Pretest-Posttest which consists of two variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. Where the independent variable is a student worksheet-based role playing learning model, while the dependent variable is student learning outcomes. The population in the study were all fifth grade students of SD Inpres Rumang, Lembata Regency, with a sample of class V with 18 students. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics to determine the normality test, homogeneity and t-test to test the hypothesis. The data were analyzed using SPSS Version 22. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes by using a student worksheet-based role playing learning model. This can be seen in the initial test (Pretest) with a mean value of 55.56, while the use of the LKS-based role playing learning model can be seen in the final test (Posttest) with a mean of 79.33. It can also be seen in the t-test test the results of this calculation obtained a sig value of 0.000 less than 0.05. This shows that H0 is rejected then H1 is accepted because the sig value is less than 0.05. Thus, learning by using a student worksheet-based role playing learning model can significantly improve the ability of students' science learning outcomes in sub-theme 1 (temperature and heat).
