Abstract

The aim of this paper was to find out whether the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model might improve student learning outcomes in class IV on healthy living habits material at MIN 1 Pidie in the academic year 2023/2024. This research belonged to classroom action research (PTK). Classroom Action Research is research which carries out in the classroom to solve various problems aiming at improving the quality of the learning process. The subjects in this research were 33 students of class IV. This research was taken place in 3 cycles. The results of these cycles were; cycle I with an average score of 51.27 with classical completeness of 15.15%, cycle II was 74.15 with classical completeness 66.67% and cycle III with an average score of 87.88 with classical completeness 100%. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning by applying the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model can improve results and foster students' desire to learn about healthy living culture material for class IV MIN 1 Pidie.
