Abstract

The curriculum continues to evolve with the times. The 2013 curriculum focuses on students as the center of learning. Therefore we need a learning model that leads to this. A discovery learning model has been applied by a teacher of Al-Qur'an Hadith at MTs Assalam. The discovery learning model also fits the characteristics of learning the Qur'an and Hadith. The discovery learning model is a learning model that makes students the center of learning. This study aims to: (1) describe learning planning with discovery learning models in improving the quality of learning Al-Qur'an Hadith (2) Describe the process of implementing learning with discovery learning models in improving the quality of learning Al-Qur'an Hadith (3) Knowing evaluation and improvement of the use of discovery learning models in improving the quality of learning Al-Qur'an Hadith. To achieve these objectives, this type of research is used with a qualitative descriptive research approach. With data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on data analysis, it can be explained that learning planning with discovery learning models in improving the quality of Al-Qur'an Hadith learning includes, making syllabus and lesson plans with discovery learning models, preparing media, preparing assessment formats. The implementation of learning with the discovery learning model in improving the quality of Al-Qur'an Hadith learning consists of three stages, namely introduction, core activity, and closing. Evaluation and improvement of the use of discovery learning models in improving the quality of Al-Qur'an Hadith learning consists of evaluation of attitude assessment, assessment of knowledge, assessment of skills, results felt by students during and after learning.
